Frequently Asked Questions

Do you provide boarding service?
No, we are not a boarding facility. We provide pet sitting service in your home.  We also provide midday dog walking service.

Will you clean up dog waste from my yard?
We will pick up after your dog does his/her business. However, we do not provide pooper-scooper service or dog waste removal from your property.

Do you charge extra for giving medication?
No. We do not charge extra for medicating your pets. This necessary care is included as part of our basic services.

How many times a day do you come to visit my pets? How long is each visit?
You can arrange for us to visit as often as you'd like. Please see our Services & Fees for more detailed descriptions.

Will you come and meet with me and my pet(s)?
Yes! We offer a free initial consultation to come by, meet your pets, go over service forms, and get acquainted! We feel this is an important and necessary step in our ability to provide the best possible care of your pets and so that details regarding your pets are not missed!

Do I pay before or after my return? Is there a deposit?
Payment is expected and due on or before the first day of service. No deposit is required.

Will I need to show proof of vaccination?
For any of our services, we only require rabies vaccination. However, it's important that your pets be up-to-date on all their vaccinations. This is for their safety, as well as our other clients, and even our own pets.

What will you do if my pet becomes sick while I am away?
As part of your pet's profile, we collect your veterinarian's information in the event your pet should become ill while you are away. This allows us to seek treatment for your pet in the event you cannot be reached. We will seek medical attention for any pet that seems ill or injured in any way, immediately. We will contact you if your pets require any veterinary attention, if you can be reached.

Why do you ask us to call you when we return home from a trip?
We ask our clients to "check in" upon returning home from a trip. A brief phone call lets us know that you have returned home safely, your pet is in good hands, and no further visits are needed to care for your pet at this time.

Are you insured?
Yes, we are fully insured for care/custody/control and more, with additional theft/breakage/mysterious disappearance coverage (better for the client than "bonding," in our opinion).

Do you have pets of your own?
Yes! We are pet lovers and have pets of our own! We own one dog, one cat, and several ferrets. We love to talk about our own pets as much as you do!

What are the advantages to using a pet sitter versus a boarding kennel?
Even your pet knows there's no place like home. Boarding kennels can be stressful to any pet. No matter how good a kennel is, there's always the potential for exposure to diseases and parasites. Using a pet sitter avoids the stress and discomfort your pet may feel when in a kennel due to being away from his/her familiar surroundings. Your pet remains in the comfort of his/her own home, normal diet is maintained, no disruption to their normal routines, and they're amongst the comfort of familiar smells and sounds. Your pet will receive loving one-on-one attention from a pet sitter. Also, using a pet sitter adds security to your home!

What makes you different from other pet sitters?
Our services are tailored to keep your pets' best interest in mind. Our company was developed for the sole love of working with animals and our standards of care are very high. We are professional pet sitters and this is our full time job. We are all devoted pet lovers and continually strive to educate ourselves on providing only the best possible pet care! Be sure to read our About Us page!
